Mixbus 32c settings on master saturation3/22/2023 I watched you Tube videos on how to export from pro tools 11 to Harrison Mixbus. I'm already having headaches.įirst: I know how to import and export in pro tools. Yes I bought it after hearing how great it sounded.īut like you say here. So needless to say I am quite excited about what v3 will bring. But what has been hinted, it sound like it could be a very popular item. And they're working on their own control surface. 64-bit, multi-core support, midi, and more control surface support, along with other features is coming in v3. You can boost/cut the fundamental and also upper harmonics. Their character series (bass and vocal) are my favorite. I don't have quite all of them, but the ones I have are great. Each with a 3 band tone eq, another comp/leveler/limiter, and tape saturation. Every channel has a built-in 4 band EQ w/hpf and a comp/leveler/limiter. And if not they still do their best to try and figure out how to get you going.ģ. Provided the plug-in developer is willing. And will work with plug-in developers to fix bugs. Open to giving an insight to the choices harrison makes. Not sure how many support guys they have. Just import your tracks, bring up the levels and things just already sound good.Ģ. And as mentioned it has some quirks with some plugs.ġ. Control surface support is quite lacking. I think that goes for all versions, but linux might be an exception there also. No 64-but support (for windows and OS X). The other issues with v2 are, no midi support. But it's the only one I've had that issue with. I found out the hard way, that VMR doesn't keep its settings once you save and reopen a project. Slate's work but there is a huge exception. Waves works and soundtoys work, I don't have UAD or or fab filter so can't comment there. Can we use UAD, Waves, Soundtoys, Fabfilter plugins thru Mixbus? So you are saying you like Studio One? I didn't read through the whole thread, so maybe you are referring to someone who claimed PT sounded better. Listen with your ears, not to some marketing pencil neck. I didn't buy S1 2 Pro because of their marketing hype, and I didn't buy Pro Tools because of their marketing hype. Having said ALL that, and recently purchased Studio One 2 and have used it on one tune so far in a room that I'm completely familiar with (my own) I can unequivocally say, it sounds the same through the same interface. I went on to engineer in some of the best studios in the world including where I worked on MCI 400, 500, 600, Neve 8068, 8058, V2, V3, VR, SSL 5000, 6000, 9000, all through MCI JH 24, Studer A800, A820, Sony 3324, 3348, and just about every monitor system you could think of. I'm also an old school guy in that I started in the recording business back when they still used 3 track Ampex 350's and recorded the soundtrack to The Shining on an M56 16 track. I started with an MBox2 Pro and 8.0 LE and ended up with what's in my sig. Well, I've been using Pro Tools for several years and have done at least 20 albums and a couple hundred productions with it.
